Definizione
Gli avverbi di quantità indicano quanto, in che misura o in che grado si verifica un fatto o una qualità. Modificano solitamente un verbo, un aggettivo o un altro avverbio. In italiano sono invariabili e non concordano con il nome. Possono riferirsi sia a quantità precisa sia a quantità generica.

Molto
Molto esprime un’alta quantità o intensità e può modificare verbi, aggettivi e avverbi. Se usato come avverbio resta invariato. Se usato come aggettivo cambia forma, ma in questo modulo consideriamo l’uso avverbiale.
Very expresses a high quantity or intensity and can modify verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. If used as an adverb it remains invariable. If used as an adjective it changes form, but in this module we consider the adverbial use.

Poco
Poco esprime una quantità limitata o un’intensità bassa. Come avverbio resta invariato e può modificare verbi, aggettivi e altri avverbi. Spesso introduce un valore restrittivo o una valutazione di insufficienza.
Little expresses a limited quantity or a low intensity. As an adverb it remains invariant and can modify verbs, adjectives and other adverbs. It often introduces a restrictive value or an evaluation of insufficiency.

Abbastanza
Abbastanza indica che la quantità o il grado sono sufficienti per uno scopo. Non significa il massimo, ma nemmeno troppo poco. Come avverbio resta invariato e si usa spesso con aggettivi e avverbi.
Enough indicates that the quantity or the degree are sufficient for a purpose. It does not mean the maximum, but not too little either. As an adverb it remains invariable and is often used with adjectives and other adverbs.

Quasi
Quasi esprime prossimità a un limite senza raggiungerlo. Modifica l’intera frase, un aggettivo o un avverbio per indicare che manca poco al massimo o al minimo. Come avverbio non cambia forma.

Troppo

Avverbi con il verbo
Con i verbi, gli avverbi di quantità specificano quanto spesso, quanto intensamente o in quale misura si compie un’azione. Avverbi con aggettivi
Quando modifica un aggettivo, l’avverbio di quantità precisa l’intensità di una qualità. In italiano la sequenza normale è avverbio + aggettivo. L’avverbio non concorda con l’aggettivo e non cambia mai forma in questa funzione.

Avverbi con altri avverbi
