Os advérbios podem aparecer em posições diferentes na frase, dependendo do tipo de advérbio, do verbo e do foco da informação. Em português, não existe uma única ordem fixa para todos os casos. Algumas posições soam mais naturais, e outras servem para dar ênfase ou organizar melhor a frase.

O advérbio não normalmente fica antes do verbo na frase afirmativa transformada em negativa. Outros advérbios de foco, como também e até, podem aparecer antes do elemento que destacam ou perto do verbo. A posição muda o foco da informação, mesmo quando o sentido geral continua parecido.
The adverb does not normally appear before the verb in the negative form of the affirmative sentence. Other focus adverbs, such as also and even, can appear before the element they highlight or near the verb. The position shifts the focus of the information, even when the overall meaning remains similar.

O advérbio pode modificar só o verbo, o grupo do objeto ou a frase inteira. Quando modifica a frase inteira, é comum aparecer no início ou em posição destacada. Quando modifica a ação, costuma ficar mais perto do verbo ou do complemento ligado a ele.
The adverb can modify only the verb, the object phrase, or the entire sentence. When it modifies the entire sentence, it is common to appear at the beginning or in a highlighted position. When it modifies the action, it tends to stay closer to the verb or to the complement attached to it.
