Time prepositions show when something is or how long something lasts. For a point in time you use different prepositions than for a period. Important time prepositions are at, on, in, in, from... to and since.

For a precise moment you use **at**, **on**, and **in**. **At** is placed before times. **On** is placed before weekdays and dates. **In** is placed before months, seasons and years.

FĂŒr einen Zeitraum benutzt man in, von ... bis und seit. In zeigt, dass etwas nach einer bestimmten Zeit passiert. Von ... bis zeigt den Anfang und das Ende. Seit zeigt den Beginn in der Vergangenheit und sagt, dass etwas bis jetzt dauert.
For a time period you use **in**, **from... to** and **since**. **In** indicates that something happens after a certain time. **From... to** indicates the start and end. **Since** indicates a beginning in the past with duration up to now.

ZeitprÀpositionen stehen hier mit dem Dativ. Man sieht das in Formen wie am Montag, im April und in der Nacht. Am ist die Form von an dem, und im ist die Form von in dem.
