Frequency adverbs indicate how many times an action occurs in general. In Spanish, they usually answer the question of how often something happens. They are used to describe habits, routines, and regularity. These adverbs do not express an exact time, but rather an idea of repetition or constancy.

Los adverbios siempre, casi siempre, a menudo, a veces, casi nunca y nunca forman una escala de frecuencia. Se pueden usar con el presente para hablar de hábitos y con otros tiempos para describir repetición. Elegir el adverbio cambia el sentido de cuán regular es la acción.
The adverbs always, almost always, often, sometimes, almost never, and never form a scale of frequency. They can be used with the present tense to talk about habits and with other tenses to describe repetition. Choosing the adverb changes the sense of how regular the action is.

Posición
En oraciones afirmativas, los adverbios de frecuencia suelen colocarse antes o después del verbo según el adverbio y la estructura. Con verbos simples como ser, tener o vivir, es común poner el adverbio después del verbo. Con perífrasis y construcciones largas, el adverbio puede colocarse después del primer verbo o al inicio como foco.
In affirmative sentences, frequency adverbs are usually placed before or after the verb depending on the adverb and the structure. With simple verbs like to be, to have, or to live, it is common to put the adverb after the verb. With periphrasis and long constructions, the adverb can be placed after the first verb or at the beginning as the focus.

Nunca
Nunca expresa ausencia total de la acción y se usa como negación semántica. En español, con nunca no se necesita normalmente otro no en la misma oración si nunca aparece antes del verbo. Si nunca va después del verbo, especialmente en variantes del español, puede aparecer junto con no.
Never expresses total absence of the action and is used as semantic negation. In Spanish, with never you normally do not need another no in the same sentence if never appears before the verb. If never goes after the verb, especially in variants of Spanish, it can appear together with no.
