Billet

Aller Simple
Un aller simple est un billet pour un trajet dans une seule direction, sans retour. On l’oppose à aller-retour quand on ne prévoit pas de revenir avec le même billet. On le demande en précisant la date et l’heure du départ.
A one-way is a ticket for travel in a single direction, with no return. It contrasts with round trip when you do not plan to come back with the same ticket. It is requested by specifying the date and time of departure.

Réserver
Réserver signifie demander à l’avance un billet ou une place. On peut réserver au guichet, par téléphone ou en ligne. Avec l’avion, on parle souvent de réservation avec un numéro et un justificatif.

Guichet
Un guichet est l’endroit où l’on achète des billets avec un agent. On peut aussi y demander des informations sur les horaires et les tarifs. Dans une gare ou une station, le guichet est souvent indiqué par des panneaux.

Composteur
Un composteur est la machine qui valide un billet avant de monter dans le train, surtout pour les trains régionaux en France. Composter signifie insérer le billet pour le rendre valable pour le trajet. Oublier de composter peut entraîner une amende lors du contrôle.

Tarif

Classe
La classe désigne le niveau de confort et de service associé à un billet, surtout dans le train et l’avion. On choisit souvent entre première classe et seconde classe dans le train. En avion, on parle de classe économique, affaires ou première.

Place Assise
Une place assise est un siège réservé, indiqué sur le billet si la réservation de place est obligatoire ou choisie. Contrôle
Le contrôle est la vérification des billets par un agent pendant le trajet ou avant l’embarquement. Il faut présenter un billet valide et, parfois, une pièce d’identité, surtout avec une réservation nominative. Le contrôle peut aussi vérifier que le billet a été composté.
