O que é adjetivo
Adjetivo é a palavra que caracteriza um substantivo, indicando uma qualidade, estado ou aspecto. Em português, o adjetivo concorda em gênero e número com o substantivo que descreve. Usamos adjetivos para responder à pergunta "como é?" sobre um objeto, pessoa ou lugar. O núcleo da descrição continua sendo o substantivo.

Concordância básica

Posição do adjetivo
Em português, o adjetivo pode vir depois do substantivo, que é a ordem mais neutra, ou antes do substantivo, criando ênfase ou sentido mais interpretativo. Alguns adjetivos mudam de sentido quando mudam de posição, mas muitos mantêm o sentido principal. Em descrições simples, o pós-nominal é seguro e claro.
